Drive west along PR-251 from Cayo Norte dock. Park in the unpaved gravel pull-off. Shore entry is across small smooth pebbles and sand directly into 2 to 4 feet of crystal clear water. Walk 20 yards out to reach the dense turtle-foraging seagrass beds.

Tamarindo is inside the Reserva Natural Canal Luis Peña, Puerto Rico's first no-take marine reserve. Grazing Green Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles can be seen surfacing every 5 minutes. Gliding Spotted Eagle Rays (*Aetobatus narinari*) often feed along the sandy channels near Cayo Luis Peña.
